The Hidalgo County Young Lawyers Association  (HCYLA) is a regional legal organization serving lawyers aged 40 and under, or within their first five years of practice, that practice in Hidalgo County. Our organization is focused on promoting professional development among our members, serving our local community, and providing networking and mentorship opportunities for our members. Member services include continuing legal education, monthly networking socials, our annual Monster Bash charity philanthropy event, and organized community service events. HCYLA a local affiliate of the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA).

HCYLA has been recognized two consecutive years by TYLA in their Local Affiliate Awards. In 2016, HCYLA placed first in Service to the Public-Small City and in 2017, HCYLA placed third in Comprehensive Local Affiliate-Small City.​ As HCYLA continues to grow and expand services to its members, it also continues as a leading and innovative small city affiliate.
